The Haslingfield Methodist Church Charity Fair will be taking place this Saturday 18th November from 11 am – 2.30 pm. 18 National and Local charities will be having stalls where you can buy your Christmas cards, books, baubles, preserves , gifts, plants etc. 3 of these charities are new to our fair. Handmade silver settings ~ Stones resourced from around the world ~ Support local Balinese community ~ Order bespoke or replica pieces of jewelry, or repairs.
The money paid will go to the craftsmen and women who have produced these beautiful items. My friend Jo, with whom I’ll be doing the event, has visited Bali over many years and still goes regularly to help the local communities and orphanages where support is greatly required.
The next Pop-Up Coffee Shop at the Methodist Church is Tuesday 11th July 8:45 – 11:30am and we are raising funds with “Home-Start Royston and South Cambs”, a family support charity . Come along for fairtrade tea, coffee, cakes and pastries. Why not pop-in for breakfast after the school run?
Do you have a charity you like to support? We can work together to raise funds (average is £150) and awareness. We supply the tea, coffee and some of the cakes and a helper or two. You supply cakes and some helpers. We are looking for charities to support on 12th December and 13th February and onwards, always on the 2nd Tuesday/month. 9
The best way to start the day is on an egg, according to some! This weekend, on Easter Sunday, a full breakfast is available from 8am until 9.15am at the Methodist Church with an Easter Egg Hunt starting at 9am. All the money raised will go to the East Africa Crisis Appeal.

This is run by a charity that works with the poorest people in India. It offers hot food to elders, who would otherwise go hungry.
