The Colts Under 12’s FC won 6-1 against Cambridge Diamonds in their first league game of the season. Liam Fairly scored 4 goals (on 7, 13, 37 and 60 minutes), Ronan Hawkins scored his first goal of the season for the team on 42 minutes and Samuel Clarke also scored his first goal of the season on 47 minutes. The Colts led 2-0 at halftime.

This Saturday’s Under 12’s football game is now being played at HOME on HASLINGFIELD REC. We’ve had to swap the venue for the match as Cambridge Diamonds’ equipment has been damaged. Otherwise everything else remains the same.
Haslingfield Colts Under 12’s football team won their first game of the season, a friendly against Histon played on the Rec on Saturday 3rd September. The final score was Haslingfield 4 – 3 Histon. The Colts battled back from being three-nil down at halftime to win. Read more

Between the hours of 8.10am and 1.26pm, a burglary occurred at a property in Main Street, Hatley St. George. Unknown offender(s) forced entry, conducted an untidy search throughout and left removing keys to a vehicle and the property. Read more
Haslingfield School has been involved in the training of teacher students since at least 1931, but there was a period after the Second World War when these students came from a teacher training establishment based in Wimpole Hall. Read more
Haslingfield Colts Under 12’s football team is the village’s own junior football team run by parents for children in the village and surrounding area. We play in the FA’s Cambridgeshire 9v9 Youth League, which is sponsored by BM Kemton Ltd and cup competitions against local teams. The FA Website shows the fixtures that we have coming up but these are also in the calendar for this web site.
The County Council has recently sent through a 1:10000 map of the parish, showing all the registered footpaths in the Parish. Given the current stress on sporting activity as an antidote to childhood obesity, it’s perhaps surprising that there is hardly any mention of organised games at Haslingfield School before 1920. The Head in 1923, Mr. Herbert Saunders, decided such activities were important, but for moral rather than physical reasons:
