Just 6 weeks to go until the Scarecrow Festival Weekend!<\/strong>\u00a0 There\u2019s going to be lots happening and plenty of opportunities to get involved. Find out the more about the events listed below from the Church and Village newsletter, the festival website www.haslingfieldscarecrowfestival.org<\/a>\u00a0or posters around the village.<\/p>\n

All weekend:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • \u00a0The Scarecrow Trail<\/strong> \u2013 there will be scarecrows displayed in gardens throughout Haslingfield over the festival weekend. If you\u2019ve not thought about making a scarecrow yet, why not have a look at the step-by-step guide on the festival website?<\/li>\n
  • Edible Gardens<\/strong> \u2013 do you grow, or keep, your own fruit, veg or livestock? Why not show it off during the festival weekend?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Saturday:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Dog Show<\/strong> \u2013 could you have the Best Dog In Haslingfield? Enter your dog into the competition and see if it\u2019s a winner in one of the many classes.<\/li>\n
    • Produce Tent and Children\u2019s Vegetable Competition<\/strong> – enter your homegrown produce into one of the competition categories.<\/li>\n
    • Church Fete<\/strong> including the Sunflower Growing Competition.<\/li>\n
    • Beer Tent<\/strong> on the Well House Meadow, with Tug o’ War and Wellie Wanging competitions.<\/li>\n
    • Art Exhibition<\/strong> in All Saints\u2019 Church by local artists, including a Children\u2019s Art Competition for the best scarecrow painting.<\/li>\n
    • Petanque\u00a0Competition<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0Little\u00a0Rose.<\/li>\n
    • Evening Barbecue<\/strong> on Well House Meadow with bar, live music fireworks and ‘Best Lantern’ competition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \u00a0Sunday:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Church Service<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      • Classic Tractor Show<\/strong> with demonstrations and a Under 5s play area at Lesanna Farm.<\/li>\n
      • Enter your street, close, club or family in the Rounders Competition<\/strong> on the Recreation Ground.<\/li>\n
      • Ball Machine Competition<\/strong> at the Tennis Club.<\/li>\n
      • Teas and refreshments<\/strong>\u00a0around the Scarecrow Trail.<\/li>\n
      • Why not set up a stall<\/strong> outside your home? You could sell your own produce, plants, arts and crafts etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
