Two routes into Grantchester are under discussion coming into a) Burnt Close and b) Cantelupe Farm Drive. CCC and SCDC councillors are supportive of the scheme. Following discussions with CCC a diversion around the Copse would be too costly and require a lot of maintenance<\/p>\n<p>Footpath Inspections \u2013 reply from Peter Gaskin<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bridleway 2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cantelupe Farm Road\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 Tree had been removed \u2013 report closed<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Footpath 8\u00a0 Church Way \u2013 request for HPC to do some work<\/p>\n<p>Footpath 9\u00a0 School Lane\/Back Lane\u2013 No dead trees found.\u00a0 The low level overhanging branches will lift once out of leaf and could wait another year before cutting<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Byway 12 and Bridleway 14 \u00a0Porkers Lane\u2013River Lane-Harston &#8211; \u00a0Direction signs not thought to be an issue.\u00a0 Contractor requested to quote for clearing the sides<\/p>\n<p>Trees etc in Wellhouse Meadow to be inspected by Sam with RR<\/p>\n<p>Verges in Trinity Close to Cantelupe Rd,Wisbey\u2019s Yard, Chestnut Close and the area around the pump at the top of New Road \u00a0have not been cut<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 6\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Planning \u2013<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Permission given by SCDC \u00a0for front, side and rear extensions to 22 Barton Road<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0And retrospective permission for installation of 16 free standing panels at 29 High St<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Permission given on appeal for erection of a Pool House at 21 Church Street<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Permission refused for claim for costs incurred<\/p>\n<p><b>7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b>A<b>dditional Matters for discussion<\/b> \u2013<\/p>\n<p>Street lighting up times to be checked on \u2013 more information required eg number on lamp post of the lights coming on too soon.<\/p>\n<p>The cycle barrier in Butler Way has been damaged again, and has been reported to Highways.\u00a0 Various alternatives were suggested and will be put to CCC.\u00a0 Possibly a strong bollard could be placed in front of the barrier.<\/p>\n<p>It was agreed to increase the fuel payment to Roy Brown for the grass cutting he carries out.<\/p>\n<p>QE11 Dedication of Haslingfield Recreation Ground \u2013 the agreement has finally been received.\u00a0 It was decided that it should be signed by the Chairman and the Vice Chairman with the Clerk as a witness.\u00a0 An Energy Safety Day is to be held in the Village Hall on November 9<sup>th<\/sup>, there will be various speakers and companies present, and a Thermal Energy Camera will be available for use.\u00a0 The launch of the \u2019Green Deal\u2019\u00a0 will take place.<\/p>\n<p>An accident was reported outside No 1 Broad Lane.\u00a0 A cyclist narrowly missed a young child as a result having braked he went over the handlebars and suffered a broken rib and other injuries.\u00a0 The hedge on the corner is to be removed and replaced with two fencing panels to improve visibility.<\/p>\n<p>Articles for the next Newsletter to come from RB, RR, RvdH<\/p>\n<p>The trees on Barton Rd which are interfering with telephone reception are to be inspected by the tree officer.<\/p>\n<p><b>8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 County Councillors Report \u2013<\/b> None<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>9\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 District Councillors Report \u2013<\/b> RP is disappointed with the decision on the Pool House at 21\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Church St.\u00a0 He urged people to attend the Local Plan Exhibition which is touring the villages starting on 15<sup>th<\/sup> July.\u00a0 The cabinet portfolio holders at SCDC are making their own decisions, both he and SK are pushing for the Committee system to be brought back.\u00a0 RP and seven others are non political on SDC.\u00a0 RP has no enthusiasm for the proposed development site at Bourne Airfield.\u00a0 It will affect Bourne Valley drainage, particularly the north edge of Haslingfield, Harlton and Eversden.\u00a0 He will be asking if an environmental \u00a0impact assessment survey has been carried out.\u00a0 He is also concerned that Haslingfield and other villages will become a rat run from Bourne to Cambridge.\u00a0 The ex Bayer site at Hauxton is still being discussed as a potential building site.\u00a0 The Stadium site at Trumpington Meadows is still not dead with an appeal expected from the developers.\u00a0 RP is not impressed with the development at TM following a recent visit. Poor housing quality and\u00a0 cars were parked all over the place and people are complaining about it.<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 10<\/b> <b>\u00a0\u00a0Committee and Working party Reports<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A \u2013 <b>Environment <\/b>\u2013 following a meeting with Rob Mungovan (Ecology Officer) from SCDC it will be necessary to cut down to fence height 8 newly planted trees in Wellhouse Meadow which are diseased.\u00a0 Other hedges also need attention.\u00a0 Quotes for the work are to be obtained \u2013 RR<\/p>\n<p>The ivy on the WHM wall has regrown and a working party will be formed to cut this down in the autumn. Rubbish is being disposed off in WHM and adjoining householders are to be written to<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<b>B \u2013 Village Hall \u2013 <\/b>authorisation of Alan Stevens time sheet<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>C- Allotments \u2013 <\/b>one plot is to become vacant.\u00a0 Risk assessments have been carried and a copy given to the Clerk.\u00a0 The current bank balance is \u00a31,170.99<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>D \u2013 Trumpington Meadows \u00a0&#8211; <\/b>not a lot has changed.\u00a0 The catering facilities in the community<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 area at the new school will be one small kitchen for making tea and coffee etc.\u00a0 If the large<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 kitchen is required a member of the school staff will need to be present and to be paid for.<\/p>\n<p><b>E \u2013 Play Area \u2013 RoSPA report received \u2013<\/b> 3 small problems identified at the Skate park which<\/p>\n<p>Roy has dealt with.\u00a0 There is movement in the wet pour areas in the play area and the Clerk has asked Playground services to give a quote for attending to these when they repair the slide.<\/p>\n<p><b>F \u2013 Website \u2013 <\/b>discussion at the recent meeting was mainly about advertising on the web,\u00a0 It was<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0decided to have a special meeting between the website committee, C&amp;V committee and HPC<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 to decide the way forward.<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>G \u2013 Road Safety \u2013 <\/b>still awaiting go ahead from CCC.\u00a0 New staff in place which is causing the<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 delay<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>11 \u00a0Correspondence \u00a0<\/b>&#8211;
