Minutes of meeting held on Monday April 11th<\/sup> 2011<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Street Lighting currently maintained by CCC – options for the future \u2013 option 1 agreed proposed MH seconded JO<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Road defects identified in new Road \u2013 to be reported to Highways<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Recent Power cuts to be reported to EDF-what measure are being taken to avoid this?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

8<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>County Councillors Report \u2013<\/strong>.The guided busway is a step nearer to opening with the completion by BAM Nuttall of all their major construction work and are in the process of supplying the mandatory certificates that act as a guarantee on their works.\u00a0 Once submitted this will allow the busway to be finally handed over to the Council. but defects still have to be rectified.\u00a0 Parents of SEN children have received letters from CCC concerning a transport review.\u00a0 Councillor Bridget Smith should be contacted if this presents any problems bridget@glockling.com\u00a0\u00a0 CCC have reduced their budget for road safety education.\u00a0 Cambridge Fire Authority is reviewing its services and is looking at restructuring and working together with other Eastern Region Fire Services.\u00a0 A603 and A1198 speed reviews will be implemented soon.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Work has been approved for Barrington Quarry.\u00a0 Haslingfield Road railway crossing to be gated.\u00a0 Rubber padding to be installed underneath the track to reduce noise.\u00a0 Predicted opening of Cambourne Village College 2012\/13, plans not yet submitted.\u00a0 Gamlingay Village College has been placed in \u2018Special measures\u2019 following a dreadful Ofsted inspection.\u00a0 CCC have measures in place to bring standards back.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

9 <\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>District Councillors Report \u2013<\/strong> revised landscaping approved at Wisbey\u2019s yard.\u00a0 No 75 bus is being better used.\u00a0 CCC have sent a grant application to the Government to run mini buses.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The cost of purchasing the Housing stock from the Government last year was \u00a3196m it is now \u00a3205m<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

10\u00a0 Committee and Working party Reports<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>A <\/strong>\u2013 Environment <\/strong>\u00a0– Parish Rights of Way Map amendments agreed.\u00a0 Thanks to Clive Blower for preparing the new map<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>B \u2013 Pavilion<\/strong>\u00a0 – Plans are progressing to create a fenced patio area at the rear of the pavilion.\u00a0 A notice board is to be purchased for the outside of the Pavilion to advertise club events.\u00a0 It was agreed the Badcock Memorial should be renovated but remain where it is.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

C \u2013 Allotments<\/strong> \u2013 proposed pig keeping has been abandoned.\u00a0 Minute of HAGA AGM will be\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 circulated in Folder<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Proposed changes to Old Railway Bridge on Haslingfield to Barton Rd will be considered by University Committee and CCC at the end of April.\u00a0 Assuming it is approved work will start in late summer<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Cam City Council are withdrawing the inspection service for play areas<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
