Magic & Beauty at the Pub
This Thursday, 19th May, sees a special Beauty Product and Magic event at the Little Rose Pub in the village. Jamie Segrave and his team will be offering everyone the chance to experience some of their beauty products and his unique style of magic. The event runs from 7.30pm until 10pm and you can just turn up on the night.
On 19, 20 & 21 May, Haslingfield Little Theatre will be performing the hilarious farce, Ken Ludwig’s Lend Me A Tenor in the Village Hall. After many weeks of intense rehearsal and two weekends of set-building, the stage is looking great, the actors are all poised to go, and looking forward to welcoming you to see this brilliant comedy. The historic bake house on Well House Meadow will be open for viewing between 10.00 am and 12 noon, including an opportunity to browse a selection of photographs and documents from the Stringer Archive.

You have probably noticed a lot of work has been carried out on the tennis courts over the past few months. We have built an extra court to allow more people to play tennis, and installed floodlights on two of them so that anyone who wants to, can continue to play tennis throughout the year. The work is now almost finished and the Tennis Club invites everyone to a Grand Opening Event on Sunday 22nd May. Read more
Little Rose Pub
The next Little Rose Pub Quiz will take place this Friday 6th May. Teams of any number up to a maximum of six can take part, entry is £10 per team with all the entry fees given out as cash prizes. First Question asked at 8pm. Just turn up on the night or book in advance. The quiz takes place on the first Friday of every month. We always have a good number of teams taking part each month.
The next Film Club showing will be on Friday 6th May 2016 at 7.30pm in the Haslingfield Methodist Church Rooms. Running time 104 min. Certificate 15. We will break for refreshments half way through. The film is in English with subtitles for other languages. Read more

Here is the list of Ales for the first ever Beer Festival to be held at The Little Rose Pub. It’s taking place this week, on Thursday 21st, Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd April. There will also be three real ciders on offer. The pub is open for the beer festival from 1pm until 10.30pm on Thursday and Friday and from 1pm until 11pm on Saturday with food available all day. There’ll also be free live music from 8pm on Friday by the Remenants and also from 8pm on Saturday by the Melody Beats. There is also a special commemorative beer glass for everyone to collect to celebrate the special occasion.

The next Haslingfield Pop Up Coffee Shop is this Tuesday 12 April 8:45 – 11:30am, in aid of East Anglia Children’s Hospice at at Milton www.each.org.uk. In March the pop up shop raised £192 for Camfed. Go along for fairtrade tea, coffee, cakes and pastries. Why not pop-in for breakfast after the school run? At the Methodist Church. We are absolutely delighted that the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) East District 4S have awarded Haslingfield Little Theatre Best Technical Achievement for Set and Costumes during 2015 for our November 2015 panto, Mother Goose.
