You will receive a warm welcome from the new tenants Andy and Richard.
I am delighted to confirm that the Hare & Hounds will be re-opening from late afternoon on Friday 10th November. For the first few weeks, there will be a full drinks bar but food will only be light snacks until a full menu is introduced at a later date. This is because the tenants are still in the process of appointing a chef, and there is also some work still to be done in the kitchen.
There has been a tremendous team effort over the last couple of weeks to help with all the preparations for the pub re-opening. A big thank you to all the volunteers who gave so much of their time to perform cleaning and painting tasks. The Steering Group, and the tenants, Andy and Richard, are very grateful for all of your support.
There are a number of activities being planned, centred around the pub, including a Christmas Craft Fair on 12th November.
This Sunday, 29th October is the last chance for the special reduced price for Sunday Lunches at The Little Rose, the last remaining pub in Haslingfield. For today only they’ll cost £5-95 for adults and £3-95 for children. There’s a choice of meats and a vegetarian option. If you’d like more information, either simply pop in and ask Neil or Sue or call them on 01223-870618. Thanx are also due for last Sunday to the 50 or so people who took advantage of this offer.
The Little Rose, the last pub in the village, is holding a free Children’s Halloween Party on Saturday 28th October from 5.30pm until 7.30pm. It’s a fancy dress party and there’s prizes for the best outfit.
Later in the evening, there will be a special Halloween disco for adults from 8.30pm until late. Music will be from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
The next Help the Hare and Hounds pop-up pub is on Friday 29th September, 6pm-11pm at the Harlton Village Hall. Come along to celebrate a successful community campaign and taking ownership of the Hare and Hounds. As usual there’ll be good food and tasty local beer.
This will very likely be the last pop-up pub with the Hare and Hounds hopefully re-opening its doors very soon.

New Pub Patio
The Little Rose is the last pub in the village. It has a comfortable lounge bar/dining room, a separate public bar, and a large garden with children’s play area and a petanque piste with floodlights. Families with children of any age are warmly welcome. It serves food including special children’s meals and there’s a wide range to activities based at the pub. There is now a Little Rose Support Group which has registered the pub as an Asset of Community Value. This gives the pub a small measure of protection.
