Bake House Opening

If you want to take a look at fascinating stuff from the Stringer Archive of Haslingfield history,  and  see at first hand how the ancestors baked their bread, heated the wash tub and visited the privy, then toddle along to the bake house on Well House Meadow from 10 am on Saturday 6th August .

10th Anniversary of Cam Sight in Haslingfield

In 2001 Cam Sight opened a support/friendship group for visually impaired people held in the Methodist church. With the help of local volunteers the group has grown and become a regular, friendly meeting place on the first Tuesday of each month between 2 and 4pm. This group supports over 30 people from 11 surrounding villages and would welcome anyone with any sight problems, along with their family, friends and carers, too. Read more

Summer Holiday Play Scheme at Orwell

Petersfield schools holiday club (Puffins) is running a holiday scheme, for children above 3 on:  Monday 25th July to Wednesday 28th July, Monday 1st August to Wednesday 3rd August and Monday 8th August to Wednesday 10th August.Puffins is run by highly qualified and experienced staff. Facilities are based within Petersfield School (Orwell) and include access to school playing field, fully equipped kitchen, numerous toys and equipment. Read more
